This colourful harbour is a new development north of Valencia along the coast. It is a great place to go on a Sunday morning. We caught a taxi for the 6km drive.

The harbour is full of pleasure boats and holiday houses, apartments and villas. Each building is a different design and colour. At the harbour entrance is a small cafe with seating outside in the sun. It is a perfect place for breakfast.

They cook omelets and Spanish sausage with fresh orange juice washed down with a good coffee. We sat outside in the sunshine and watched the local kids prepare their dinghies for a mornings sailing in the harbour and out on the sea.

After we had eaten our fill we walked south back along the long sandy beach towards the modern container port and the Hotel Neptune. It was such a relaxed and delightful way to spend a Sunday morning.
